Virtual Fireside Chat with Tristan Lavender
For our first virtual event of 2024 we welcomed Tristan Lavender – one of the most articulate, best-known and respected neurodivergent voices in business today – as the latest guest in our virtual fireside chat series, in this case for a wide-ranging discussion of neurodiversity at work.
Tristan was diagnosed with autism in early adulthood. Yet, as he has shared with great openness and vulnerability in his writing, he did not share this with anyone in a professional setting for the next 16 years, out of a combination of feeling shame and fear due to ongoing stigma around neurodivergence.
Today, having chosen to share his journey and vision with the world, he is a popular and successful speaker and writer on the topic of neurodiversity at work and the global neurodiversity ERG lead at Dutch tech giant Philips – as well as an award-winning photographer! Anyone who follows Tristan on LinkedIn will know and hold in high regard his powerful, insightful and considered thoughts on neurodiversity at work and how the world must and can become truly neuroinclusive.
“My dream”, he has written, “is a world where all minds can thrive equally, including the ones that are a little different”.
In this conversation, hosted by Uptimize founder and CEO Ed Thompson, Tristan and Ed discuss multiple topics relating to neurodiversity at work including:
– Tristan’s own journey and what the world can learn from it
– Tips for organizations in how to become more neuroinclusive
– How to connect with others and build and lead a neurodiversity ERG
– The future of neuroinclusion at work
…and much more!
