“Intersectionality and Neurodiversity in the Workplace” Webinar

When we look through the lens of intersectionality through neurodiversity, the neurodivergent workforce can experience huge opportunities – such as innovative thinking, problem solving, and new ideas. However, others can experience compounding difficulties and biases in the workplace.

Although public awareness of neurodiversity in society and in the workplace is growing, neurodivergence can be over-associated with young, cis-gender, white males. In fact, neurodivergence cuts across all demographic lines, from gender to ethnicity, age and sexuality. In this webinar, we will explore the important – and sometimes complex – dynamics around intersectional identities in the workplace as they relate to neurodiversity.

In this webinar, we discuss:

  • What do we mean when we refer to intersectionality relating to neurodiversity – and why does it matter?
  • What are the complexities of being a part of multiple minority groups in the workplace?
  • As an organization, what are the real business benefits of being inclusive of multiple (all!) identities?
  • How can we all actively contribute to work cultures in which people feel comfortable bringing their full selves to work?
